Situated in a distant, untamed archipelago in the pacific ocean, the Revillagigedo Islands have everything SCUBA divers can ask for - warm water, beautiful scenery and big and exciting marine animals that just love 'hanging out' with people! Swimming with Giant Manta rays, Hammerhead sharks and Buttlenose dolphins is only the beginning!

Socorro Island and the Revillagigedo Archipelago have been among the most popular SCUBA diving destinations of the last 20 years. It has been compared to the Cocos Islands in Costa Rica and even to the Galapagos in Ecuador. The islands, approximately 250 nautical miles from Cabo San Lucas, and the waters around them are a national park and marine reserve, and also an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The amount and versatility of life in this area are the main reason for all of these impressive titles. 7 different types of sharks, Giant Pacific Manta rays, Tuna and dolphins are only some of the species that call this part of the world home. There are more then a few other sorts of animals that visit during migration as well, like Humpback whales, Whale sharks, Orcas and other surprises.

Solmar V takes divers to Socorro and other islands in the archipelago for the best Giant Manta interactions, thrilling shark sightings and amazing experiences between November and June. The details of the itinerary vary according to weather and ocean conditions, but you can expect:
4pm arrival at first dive site and 1-2 dives on the first day of diving. On the rest, 3-4 dives per day.
Diving in dive sites around 3 islands - San Benedicto, Socorro and Roca Pertida, in dive sites like El Boiler, The Canyon, The Aquarium, Punta Tosca, Cabo Pearce and Roca Pertida pinnacle.
Return to harbor is usually at around 8-9pm and the last night on board is at the Cabo San Lucas harbor. Disembarkation commences after breakfast on the docked ship.

Important info

There is no use of credit cards on board the Solmar V. All on-ship payments will be excepted in cash or travelers checks only.

Diving Socorro Island and the Revillagigedo Archipelago can be challenging, the trip is recommended for divers with experience diving in strong currents and temperate water.

Departure: with your reservation confirmation Email, you will receive an information sheet with details about arrival procedures. Solmar V's Divemasters will meet you at either Quinta Del Sol, Solmar Suites or Playa Grande Resort & Spa and escort you to the harbor where the ship will be waiting. The Solmar V is scheduled to leave at 4pm, after all passengers arrive.

Return: the Solmar V returns to port at approx. 8-9pm and the last night of the trip is spent on-board in the Cabo San Lucas harbor. Guests will disembark in the next morning, after breakfast and paid transportation to airport will be arranged. Those who leave later in the day will have the option of going to our host hotel, the Bahia Hotel & Beach House to relax and lounge until their flights. Paid transportation to airport can be arranged by the concierge.

Insurance: trip and dive insurance are highly recommended.

Cancellations Policy

Reservations cancelled 9 months or more before departure date are fully refundable.
Cancellations received 9-6 months before departure date will be refunded, minus 10% of charter rate.
Cancellations received 6-3 months before departure date will be refunded, minus 30% of charter rate.
Cancellations received 90-60 days prior to trip will be refunded 50% of charter rate.
And, cancellations received less then 60 days before trip departure date are non-refundable.
