Swimming with the magestic and bubble-loving Giant Pacific Manta rays in a beautifuly wild and remote scenery is not the only reason the Revillagigedo Archipelago is every SCUBA divers dream. Schooling Hammerheads, Silky, Galapagos and other types of sharks, pods of Bottlenose dolphins, pelagic and reef species and even Humpback whales and occasionally Orcas are just some of what you can see in the warm and spectacular waters of Socorro.

250 nautical miles south of Cabo San Lucas, surrounded by a teeming marine reserve and national park, lays the Revillagigedo Archipelago. These 4 islands and the waters around them are an UNESCO world heritage site and have been compared to the Galapagos and Cocos islands for the amazing abundance of life and their unique eco-system.

Scuba divers come to the Socorro islands to dive and experience the unforgettable Giant Mantas, who seem to enjoy the company of humans and their bubbles. More then 7 different types of sharks, like Hammerheads, Whale-sharks, Galapagos and white-tip sharks, along side whales and dolphins, are also among the species that have been luring wildlife enthusiasts, photographers and scientists for the past 20 years.

The Solmar V takes divers to encounter all these and more between November and June. Itinerary details depend on weather and sea conditions, but you can expect diving near 3 of the 4 islands:

San Benedicto, where Giant Pacific Mantas love to get cleaned by the local Clarion Angelfish. "El Boiler" dive site, is one of the most famous Manta dive spots in the world. On a normal dive you can also see Hammerheads, Whale-sharks and Humpback whales.

Socorro is the second stop of the Solmar V thrilling expedition. In dive sites like "Aquarium", "Punta Tosca" and "Cabo pearce", you can be sure the Manta action will continue. Sharks, dolphins, Tuna and many more animals can be sighted here.

Roca Pertida is the smallest island and the last stop for the trip. This pinnacle, which sticks out of the water 115f/35m, is often visited by Humpback whales, Whale-sharks, dolphins, schools of pelagic fish like tuna, jacks and of coarse, Manta rays. Many shark species can be found here as well.

2 Dives are scheduled after the ship arrives at the first dive site at approximately 4pm, and 3-4 dives per day for the rest. Trip ends after breakfast on the last morning.

Important info

Payments on-board the Solmar V can be made in cash or travelers checks only. Credit cards will not be excepted.

Insurance from a respected company is highly recommended.

It is recommended to arrive to Cabo San Lucas at least 1 day prior to the departure.

An information sheet with details about arrival procedures will be sent to you with your booking confirmation. Transport to the ship from San Jose Cabo airport (SJD) can be arranged by early request. Representatives will meet and escort you to the boat from either Quinta Del Sol, Solmar Suites or Playa Grande Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas. Departure is planned for 4pm.

Solmar V is planned to dock back at the Cabo San Lucas harbor at 8-9pm on the last night of the trip. you'll spend that night on-board, docked at the port. On the last morning, after breakfast, paid transport will be arranged to take you either to SJD or the the Solmar V host hotel, the Bahia Hotel & Beach House, for a relaxing and comfortable wait until your flight. Transport from hotel can be arranged with the concierge.

Cancellations Policy

Bookings cancelled 9 months or more prior to departure will be fully refunded.
Cancellations made 9-6 months before departure date will be refunded, minus 10% of charter rate.
Cancellations received 6-3 months prior to departure date will be refunded, minus 30% of charter rate.
Cancellations received 90-60 days prior to trip will be refunded 50% of charter rate.
And, cancellations received less then 60 days before trip departure date are non-refundable.
